Can anyone see what I post in a Public group?
The Public group is searchable on Facebook by anybody. It will show up with its privacy settings and the number of members. Anyone can see the posts on Facebook Public Group's timeline in the public group.
The content shared in Public groups is visible to anyone on and off Facebook, and the member list is visible to anyone on Facebook.
The only way to prevent your Facebook friends (and even the public at large) from seeing the posts you make in a Facebook group is to ask a group admin to change the group's privacy level from Public to either Closed or Secret. I hope this helps, Kellie.
The only way to make sure that no one except friends who are also in the group can see your group posts is to change the group setting to Closed. Obviously, a moderator will need to do this, if you're not the moderator.
Public groups are public so they can scroll through the page, but if they're not a member, that group's posts won't show up on their feed. So they'd have to be looking at the page you posted to know that you were there.
Public groups can't be hidden, and they're a good option if you want to prioritize quantity in terms of group members. If you want to scale fast and it doesn't really matter who joins, this option can work. In most cases, however, private Facebook groups are going to be the best bet for businesses.
- Tap. in the top right of Facebook and tap Groups then Your groups, then select your group. If you don't see Groups, tap See more.

Admins have the option to let anyone participate in their public groups, even if they aren't members of that group. Admins can decide who is allowed to post in the group: anyone logged into Facebook, or just group members.
In public groups, people can become members without admin approval, and visitors (people who aren't members) can post and comment if admins allow.
The privacy settings of your group (Public/Private) tell you who can see your group's content and its members. In a Private group, only members can see who's in the group and what they post. In a Public group, anyone can see who's in the group and what they post, including non-members.
Can I block someone from seeing my public posts on Facebook?
Select as many people as you want not to see your post. Each person you select will have a red - (minus) next to their name and be listed individually at the bottom. Public groups are just what they sound like: public. Anyone can see the group's name, location, member list, and posts, and the group can show up in anyone's searches or News Feed. Anyone can add themselves as a member without any invite or approval.
In a group, you can only post anonymously if the group admin has enabled the feature. Your identity is known to group administrators and Facebook.
Keep in mind: If someone posts anonymously, their name and profile picture will still be visible to the group's admins and moderators, as well as to Facebook, in order to help keep groups safe and in compliance with our Community Standards.
If you can't post anonymously on a Facebook group, this means admins have disabled this option. You can contact them and ask them to enable this feature. If you're a group admin and want to enable anonymous posts, go to Group Settings, and locate the Features section.

What happens to a Facebook group without an admin?
If a group has no admins, Facebook may suggest that some members become an admin based on many signals. Signals include their current level of participation and whether they are an admin of any other Facebook groups. Facebook may also archive the group if there are no admins for a while.
